B(V)idya Balan has done it again! What a thriller!The movie is fast paced and lays stress on details. Kudos to Director Sujoy Ghosh for the magnum opus. Well defined characters who bring Kolkata alive on screen. Now who will not be nostalgic with the lanes of Manick Tolla and Burra Bazaar in Pujo? Does "Bhalo Naam" ring a bell? Will you now not be suspicious of the benign Bengali gent who is an insurance agent by the day and a smiling assassin in his alternate avatar? The Kokata policemen in their white uniforms who are IT illiterate but are hopelessly romantic? And the climax? Simply awesome!

That is not all, we have our good old Amitabh Bachchan lending his voice to that timeless song: Ekla Chalo Re!
Beautiful. Mesmerizing. Breathless.

The Dirty Picture

Take a bow of O fair Vidya of today, for in thou hast one found the lost charm of the heroine. With Paa and Ishqiya already under her belt, this Tam Brahm girl has done it once again with The Dirty Picture.
Vidya played the sultry regional sex symbol who paved the way for the mindless skin fest in the regional movies.
The dialogues are loud and a couple of reels into the movie, they cease to shock. Nasiruddin Shah has played the aging regional superstar to perfection. Tushar Kapoor has really looked the type in the role of Nasir's bro.

 A well made movie which speaks volumes about the talent of the Hindi cinema.
